Snatch Pull:
130 x 3/3/3 (work set)
* Notes:
- If you have a plan -- STICK TO IT! I on the other hand decided to brush away good judgement and attempt to make a new snatch PR -- boy was I stupid! I completely bombed out on the snatch. So much so, that I was completely destroyed mentally and physically after my snatch debacle. Matter of fact, after the snatch pull, I just said, "the hell with it!" and walked away.
- So what happened? Well, I tried to make a new PR attempt after successfully lifting 117.5kg. I figured the previous "Conceptual Program" produced a 120kg snatch PR and initially I felt confident to make a lift of 125kg. I brushed off the two misses at 112.5kg and 117.5kg because I successfully made both second attempts at each weight, respectively. So, I thought, "let's go for broke." and that's exactly what happened -- I was broke! No money in the weightlifting bank -- I had overdrawn on my account!
- After two missed attempts at 125kg and I thought maybe I had been a little over ambitious in attempting a 7.5kg jump, so I dropped the weight down to 122.5kg; however, this didn't help my efforts at all. After seven failed attempts, it was time to call it quits. Watch the video below and you'll see the level of frustration build after each failed attempt.
